porterzip is operated by 3rdrock dev LLC ("porterzip", "we", "us" or "our"). This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers our website at porterzip.com and the porterzip application. By using porterzip you agree to this policy.
porterzip is a tool for businesses. We are not directed to consumers, and we do not sell personal data. The data a customer uploads about its own customers is handled under strict limits, described in section 5.
We handle personal data in two different capacities, and it matters which one applies.
As a controller. For information about our own account holders, prospects and website visitors, we decide how and why the data is used. This policy governs that data.
As a processor. When a business customer uploads its own customer file to porterzip, that business is the controller and we act only as its service provider, processing the data on its documented instructions to deliver the service. Our handling of that data is governed by our customer agreement and, where applicable, a data processing addendum. Section 5 describes the limits we apply to it.
When you create an account, contact us, or request the service, we collect your name, work email address, phone number, company name, the channels you run and any message you send us. We use passwordless sign-in, so we store your email to send you secure sign-in links. We do not store passwords.
We invoice through Stripe. Stripe processes payment details directly. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. We keep invoice records such as amount, status and date.
When you visit the site we collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring source, through cookies and analytics. See section 7.
To deliver the service, a business customer uploads a first-party customer file. This can include postal addresses, email addresses, ZIP codes and order or donation history. We process this data as a processor on the customer's behalf. See section 5 for the specific protections we apply.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in these ways:

If you are an individual whose data was uploaded by a business that uses porterzip, that business controls your data. Please direct privacy requests to them. We will assist them in responding.
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and the principle of least privilege, tenant isolation between customers, and logging of sensitive data access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site function and for analytics that help us understand and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and we honor recognized opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control where required. We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. You also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise a right relating to data we hold as a controller, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows. For data a business uploaded about you, contact that business, since they control it.
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We retain uploaded customer data only for as long as needed to provide the service, and we delete or return it on request or within a reasonable period after termination, except where law requires us to keep it. Raw uploaded files are held only long enough to process them.
porterzip is built for the United States and we host data with reputable providers using access-controlled facilities. If any processing occurs outside your country, we apply appropriate safeguards for that transfer.
We send marketing email only to business contacts and always include a way to unsubscribe. Transactional messages, such as sign-in links and invoices, are necessary to operate your account and are not marketing.
porterzip is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
The site may link to third-party sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give notice through the site or by email. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
